So sorry you are going through that. Been there many times myself, but men are supposed to be able to tough it out. To power through, right? Btw, if I were still a young man, I'd be happy to "court you" (as the real old timers say LOL) I LOVE how your brain works, and ultimately that's the most attractive thing of all. Who cares about weight? People gain and lose weight all the time, they still go on being who they are. I dated skinny women and heavy women. It never affected how much I liked them. Anyway, be strong. You have people out here who love you, myself included.
I can only imagine how painful going through this must've been. But I must say, you have incredible strength, it comes through in your writing. I'm happy for you, this situation brought new perspective and I think for you, a better understanding of your value. Only good can come from this!
Wow! Way to be strong and remaining true to YOU. I am glad you are taking it as a learning experience and not internalizing it to anything being wrong with YOU.
“Breadcrumbing” is a new term to me- is the metaphor in the tiny leftovers inadequate for even a snack, the trail markers the jays eat in Hansel and Gretel, or something else that points out the shady side of people who can’t reveal who they are?
I m a cisgender male (I think that's the terminology) and have also been disappointed in love. All I ask for is — and this should be easy — reciprocity.
Beautiful piece, I love that even in loss you’ve refused to withdraw. I have been on both sides of this, mostly because I never had the courage of my bi desires, and your essay really helped me to understand what I really did.
P.S. Got my copy of Where Rabbits Gathered last night, bought it based solely on the power of your ‘Stacks! 😉 Can’t wait to start it!
This is heart-breaking. But your clarity is like a star. Thank you.
You will survive, I can feel it in your writing 🌹thank you.
Her loss.
But I know the breadcrumbing must be painful. I'm sorry she did that to you.
Give Cody a big hug. ❤️
Get a dog , they really love you
You must be new here. I have two amazing dogs.

You’re too real for her and she betrayed your heart and trust. I am sorry you got hurt. Anyone would have been.

Cowards abound.
