It is amazing who wasn't in the mix. It is almost sad. We anticipated who (geopolitically) is.

Fabulous! One point - the CIA was founded with transliberal goals, even if the word hadn't been invented then. It has always been for extreme capitalism and under their direction we have killed untold numbers of people with the goal of removing resistance to poverty and enabling huge wealth inequity. I believe you are right that Epstein didn't serve a nation as such. But under that argument it is also true that the CIA does not serve a particular country but instead exists for the betterment of that 0.000000-whatever percent.

Also, you know who else was in WEF and at Davos? Joe Robert. Bono. Quincy Jones. Lots of legal prostitution. ... There are a lot of potential stories and food for thought.

I will stick with the idea that it was Russia & Israel, anyway.

Thank you for this, Alisa. There is so much I didn’t know. I’m much clearer now, thanks to you.

Check out The Monthly Review. Its editor, sociology professor John Bellamy Foster kept alive and improved on Baran & Sweezy’s Monopoly Capital. They predicted this in 1966: that corporations would grow more powerful than nation-states. I read that book in the 80s. I’ve been watching this happen. I hadn’t realized how rare my professor must have been to include it on the syllabus.

It's a Global Star Chamber, a Lex Occulta. Heimliches Gericht. A Nexion council. They all fit. Pick one.

Thank you for this piece and your work. If any time in the past 80 years there is a window of opportunity to develop, transition to and institute a more fair and balanced global financial system without perverse incentives or structures to hoard wealth, it is now.

I, being a nobody, do not have the connections and resources to move the needle in this direction, but the leaders of the Middle Powers do - Canada, Australia, Brazil, India, and South Africa - along with the EU nations can dust off and, with today's technological tools, revise the Keynesian plan proposed at Bretton Woods. This was the International Clearing Union with a unit of account called the Bancor, that, if properly managed and governed, would have incentives to promote global cooperation rather than global competition.

This is not a novel idea... use any search engine to look up the ink on bringing this system into existence in the modern age, and you will find critics and promoters, but the fact remains... We, the People cannot tolerate the neoliberal economic order any longer.

Finally getting to the root of the problem: greed.

This is an amazing article! Is this what has been called the "Epstein Class"? Is this related to the Bilderberg Group? Your level of scholarship has me in complete awe! Thank you for digging this up!

Yes, brilliant. Now how do we change this mess? We let Bernie and AOC take the lead.

I knew it was bad … I never suspected it was that bad. Looks like we may have some very bad times … but there is a lot that needs addressing. I think citizens of the world are up to dealing with this crap.
