What If The Epstein Files ARE The Distraction?
The files matter. But the greater crime may be unfolding under their cover.
Every time Donald Trump does something shocking—orders a military strike on a Venezuelan boat, randomly “renames” the Gulf of Mexico, insists he’s going to make Canada the 51st state, threatens to invade (checks list) Panama, Greenland, and now Mexico—the instant response from Democrats and liberal pundits is the same: It’s a distraction from the Epstein files. By “Epstein files,” I mean the recently partially unsealed court records that document pedophile billionaire Jeffrey Epstein’s child sex trafficking network and name powerful men, Trump among them, as participants or associates.
But here’s the uncomfortable truth: Trump doesn’t need a distraction from the Epstein files. His base wouldn’t believe he was in them if they were written in the sky by God himself. Trump is a cult leader. His followers are inoculated against facts. All he has to do is blame-shift to the “enemy” and call every indictment against himself a lie, and they eat it up. He knows this. He also knows Democrats generally cling to the idea that facts still matter, that a single scandal or revelation about Trump might finally pierce the MAGA armor. But, friends, that naive and moralistic belief is itself the mark of a person or group that is easy for a sociopath to con.
I do not believe Trump is running a series of distractions, at least not in the way the vast majority of liberals do. He’s running something far more nefarious, a symphonic grand illusion, of which the “distractions” the democrats crow about are actually deceptive cadences and resolutions. The Epstein files aren’t the secret; they’re the thing Trump wants us to think are the secret, so we don’t pay attention to the bigger horror looming.
The illusion of distraction is the distraction. The real thing he’s distracting us from? It is far worse than the Epstein files, and the Epstein files are horrific. Most of you still haven’t figured it out.
And that’s exactly what Trump, perhaps the greatest conman of all time, wants.
The Setup Hiding in Plain Sight
While we chase the headline bait he’s laid for us, Trump is quietly building the conditions for something far more dangerous than a global child sex trafficking ring: The largest ethnic cleansing and genocide the world has ever seen. The clues are there.
A newly militarized United States border. Troops, drones, warships. The language has shifted from “immigration enforcement” to “narco-terrorism.” That’s not wordplay—it’s the legal doorway to war powers that can and will be used against tens of millions of United States citizens, by their own government and military.
A new “migrant” detention center in South Texas New camps. Private prison contractors, flush with fresh ICE funding, have built “processing centers” that look suspiciously like long-term detention. We know of a few of them, but there are many more.
New fleets of unmarked vehicles. All across the country, new unmarked or deceptively marked vehicles with darkened windows have already begun silently patrolling. They’re owned by private companies, many of whom are shell companies for private military contractors. While we obsess on uniformed military on the streets of DC and LA, elsewhere a plainclothes private army is getting into position, unnoticed.
Due process under assault. Trump has already tested the Alien Enemies Act to deport 600,000 legal resident Venezuelans without trial. He sent 200 of them without due process to a torture prison in El Salvador, illegally, and was later forced to release them. Lower courts have pushed back, but the repeated testing itself matters—because it shows ethnic cleansing intent divorced from immigration status. With the Supreme Court in his pocket, it is likely Trump will eventually get what he wants, and scale it up rapidly.
Propaganda architecture. Fox News and Trump collapse “Venezuelan → Mexican → migrant → illegal → criminal → terrorist → Latino.” Laura Loomer “jokes” on Twitter that 65 million Latinos could be alligator food—the exact number of Latinos in the U.S., most of them citizens. This is how dehumanization gets smuggled in under laughter.
The bored, sadistic, sociopathic, powerful men who rape and traffic thousands of children for entertainment are the same sadistic sociopath powerful men who separate children from their parents and put them in cages. Pain is the point. Nothing else. Trump himself, in describing why he and Epstein were friends, once said they understood each other as rich men who got bored because they could have anything they wanted, and so they started to want things that were harder to get. Like raping kids. Like dictatorship. Like ethnic cleansing and genocide. They are different faces of the same pathology: domination as pleasure, cruelty as proof of power. Entertainment for Caligula.
The Genius of Chaos
Liberals keep telling themselves Trump is dumb, impulsive, lazy, thinking they’ve “got him” when he appears to make dramatic moves to “distract” from the Epstein files. That’s what he wants, however.
While he is clearly not an intellectual, the man is a genius at one thing: manipulating others for his own criminal gain.
Ask yourself: Would a man who has managed to consistently evade the law for nearly a century, who has amassed a cult following of the magnitude of MAGA, really be so stupid as to try to distract you from knowing what’s in the Epstein files? The man is proud to be in them, and knows he’ll suffer no consequences. He has said he could stand on the streets of New York and murder someone in public and his base would not believe it.
He’s playing liberals like an orchestra, and they’re trembling with righteous indignation at one horror while another much more massive horror spreads beneath their feet without them noticing.
Like Hitler, Trump doesn’t need to master policy or strategy. He only needs to master the application of resentment, fear, he need only lay traps to bulldoze all of our institutions until they break. The traps are often unseen. They are several layers down from what appear to be the real traps. Project 2025—the detailed authoritarian playbook written by his allies—proves there is discipline and patience behind this kind of chaos. Stephen Miller and others provide the cold legal scaffolding for this long, long game. Trump supplies the sadistic will.
And the end result they all want is the same end result all racist fascists want: ethnic cleansing and genocide.
Sociopaths Don’t Get Bored, They Escalate
The excuse Trump uses for “invading” Latin America is “cartels and drugs.” Those words scare white Americans, thanks to an endless parade of stereotypical characterization of Latinos in both the United States news media and Hollywood’s scripted TV and film. Scarface. Narcos. Breaking Bad. Americans often believe what they see on TV, and the idea that “Latinos” are dirty criminal aliens sneaking drugs into the United States is a widespread, albeit mostly untrue, belief.
Truth is, Trump doesn’t care if Americans die of overdoses. He doesn’t care if we die at all, as long as he can have our stuff. He doesn’t care if children choke on wildfire smoke, if families get cancer from unregulated air, water and food, or if grandparents can’t afford insulin. Why would he? He’s a literal sociopath. Human suffering isn’t a problem to him. It’s raw material. It’s leverage for the con. It’s fun.
So this new narrative about Venezuela and Mexico being “narco-terrorists” is a lie built several steps up the flowchart from where he actually wants us to go. He doesn’t care about your family being on drugs, any more than he cared about COVID deaths piling up on his watch. The “drug war” is a pretext—an excuse to viscerally brand ALL Latinos as criminals, cartels, and terrorists, so they can be expelled and exterminated.
And let me be very clear: The vast majority of the 65 million Latinos in the United States WERE BORN HERE. We are citizens. Many of us have roots in what’s now the United States that predate the existence of this country at all.
And let me also be clear: 65 million Latinos are a nation within a nation, more than the total population of Canada and many other countries. We are not new here. We are not fringe. We are Americans. In California, New Mexico, and Texas, Latinos now outnumber non-Hispanic whites.
And it scares Stephen Miller.
The What If
So here’s the question no one wants to ask:
What if the Epstein files themselves, the drama around not releasing them after promising to release them, the “is he or isn’t he in them” endless conversation, are the shiny object themselves, and things like the Venezuelan boat strike is the shiny object’s shiny object?
What if the illusion of distraction is itself the cover for the true plan—ethnic cleansing and genocide in the United States in pursuit of a white Christian nationalist ethnostate?
History is clear. Genocides do not announce themselves. They begin with manipulating language to brand a target group for dehumanization. They being by terrifying the base with propaganda that convinces them the target group is to blame for all bad things. They progress with jokes like Loomer’s and posts like the Manifest Destiny winks on the Department of Homeland Security’s Twitter feed. They unfurl with dull-sounding paperwork, honorable-sounding goals, with “exceptions” to due process.
And in the moments leading up to large-scale atrocities, they rely on distraction so that no one is looking as the cages, camps and prisoner transport systems are built in our own backyards. And what better distraction from a monumental atrocity than another horrific but not as large atrocity?
The Real Distraction
Trump is the finest conman of our age. Perhaps of all time. The real trick isn’t distracting us from what he fears most, because men like Trump, sociopathic narcissists, fear nothing. The real trick is distracting us from what he wants most: the power to decide who counts as American and who can be erased, who will hurt and who will derive pleassure. Who will live and who will die.
Hitler started with Jews, but he didn’t stop with Jews. Latinos are Trump’s Jews, and the democrats are themselves so entrenched in white patriarchy and the “tough on crime” nonsense narrative that they don’t see it. The scaffolding for ethnic cleansing and genocide in the United States is already here: propaganda, camps, laws bent out of shape, soldiers at the border. And it’s not new. The nation was founded on genocide, built on slavery.
There were two large-scale ethnic cleasings conducting against Latinos/Mexicans/Mexican Americans in the US that have been erased from history books in favor of the false narrative that we are always “new” here — Herbert Hoover’s Mexican “Repatriation” Act during the Great Depression, which saw more than 1 million United States citizens of Mexican descent forcibly removed from the country, and Operation Wetback in the 1950s. The blueprint is already written. If you think it can’t happen here, that’s only because your society has conspired to hide from you that it already has, twice.
Brace yourselves. While we’re all focused on the horrific Epstein files and Trump’s involvement in global child sex trafficking, he and Stephen Miller are planning something far worse. And it has already begun.
I think you're right on target with this. Although you give Diaper Don too much credit. The brains behind this are the Heritage Society, Stephen Miller, and to a lesser extent, the tech bros of Silicon Valley. Trump is just the cult leader that allows them to accomplish their goals.
Exactly. In a post-truth world, everything is a distraction as hyperchaos is unleashed. The inevitable result in mass death, Social Murder. Trump inherited the structure of the post-truth paradigm used by extremist Republicans, but as a supreme conman, amplified it and nationalized it in order to corrupt all societal and governmental constraints. Yes, the easy initial designated targets are the “foreign” peoples from the south, but the mechanisms and capacity of unleashed harm this administration is constructing will not be satisfied with anything less than omnicide. No one is safe. The JFK Jr component is death by the coming preventable plagues and destruction of public health, and Congress is completing the sweep with the destruction of healthcare. Social collapse and social murder on mass scale will still not slake the blood thirst of these monsters.
And Americans have been carefully deluded and numbed to the horrific consequences. The shiny objects are designed to trap the remaining rational thinkers into chasing rabbit holes while ‘normalizing’ the distraction with rational analysis defining the object but missing the whole. This becomes a useful part of the distraction. The sheer quantity of the shiny objects is designed to paralyze and exhaust the opposition. Bread and circuses.
The design is collapse and he is succeeding beyond expectations revealing the fragility of what America has become. A people suceptible to a master conman, whose con is to convince them to accept and participate in social murder to end its society, political system, economic system, and world power.
One man and his sycophants have taken advantage of the weaknesses of society and its institutions who were vulnerable to this form of exploitation. But removing one man and his cronies will be insufficient to remedy a system’s weaknesses.
Increasingly it seems the main task will be to create and build a new America, hopefully one that reflects the original humanism and equality of the original version while remedying the exploitation, inequality, and murderous dark side. Instead of chasing the shiny objects, we must recognize the sheer evil of this current post-truth movement and remove them from power while building a new America worth living in and for. We the People must rebuild a new democracy. Starting now, before the mass killing.
